“I’m proud to join other Dallas men in this crucial stand against domestic violence. Violence against women is not a women’s issue. It is an issue that men and women must face and speak out against together. The Rally Against Domestic Violence is an important opportunity for such dialogue. While I cannot attend on March 23, please know I will be there with you in spirit. This initiative is more than a single day or a single event. Violence against women is an epidemic. Together, let’s commit the rest of our lives to standing up when we see violence and preventing violence whenever possible. and be a reliable resource (or confidant) for the girls and women around us. With the Kenyon Martin Foundation, I have long supported domestic violence programs, but prevention should be the long-term goal for us all. Man up Dallas!”
